Florida City
Florida City’s Own Indian Kitchen
Florida City is where the Turnpike ends and every adventure south begins — and it’s our home. You’ll find us at 333 SE 1st Ave, tucked behind the Denny’s between the Quality Inn and the Travelodge, feeding hotel guests, park rangers’ worth of visitors, and neighbors who’ve figured out that 4 PM fresh beats anything under a heat lamp.
The menu is intentionally small and homemade: butter masala, palak, and curry (chicken or paneer), a proper tadka daal, kheema with peas, tandoori chicken, handmade lamb or veggie samosas, mango lassi, and kheer to finish. Finished when you order it — 20 to 30 minutes, worth every one.
Staying at one of the hotels next door? You’re a two-minute walk from a real dinner. Call or text ahead and carry it back to the room while it’s still steaming.
What to order

- Tadka Daal — tempered lentil curry: the comfort-food heart of the menu.
- Kheer — sweet rice pudding with almonds and cardamom — the right ending, especially after a hot day.
