Questions? Answers.

What are your hours?

We are open Monday and Wednesday through Sunday, 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. We are closed on Tuesdays.

Where exactly are you located?

At 333 SE 1st Ave in Florida City, FL 33034 — behind the Denny’s, between the Quality Inn and the Travelodge, just off US-1. We are minutes from Homestead and right on the route to the Florida Keys.

How long does an order take?

About 20–30 minutes, because every order is cooked fresh when it comes in — nothing sits under a heat lamp. Order ahead and it’s ready when you arrive.

Can I order ahead?

Yes — call or text 786.505.4210, or order online at masala-mandala.cloveronline.com. If you’re driving to the Keys, order about 25 minutes before you pass Florida City and your meal is ready as you pull in.

How spicy is the food? Can you adjust it?

You choose the heat: every entrée can be made mild, medium, or spicy. Mild is genuinely family-friendly.

Is your meat halal?

Yes — our chicken and lamb are halal.

Do you have vegan options?

Yes — our Chana Masala is vegan. For anything else, call or text us and we’ll tell you honestly what can be made vegan.

Do you have vegetarian options?

Plenty. Butter Masala, Palak, and Curry all come in a paneer version, the Tadka Daal is a lentil dish, and there are veggie samosas, roti, jeera rice, and onion salad.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, gluten-free options are available — tell us when you order and we’ll guide you through the menu.

Is Masala Mandala a good food stop on the way to the Florida Keys?

That’s exactly what we’re built for. We’re the last fresh, made-to-order Indian meal before the 18-Mile Stretch to Key Largo, and the food is packed to travel well in the car.

Are you near Everglades National Park or Biscayne National Park?

Yes — Florida City is the gateway town to both parks, and we’re a short drive from each entrance. A hot, homemade meal after a day in the parks is kind of our specialty.

What should I order for a group or family?

The Family Pack ($99) feeds 4–5 with three entrées, three servings of jeera rice, and six samosas. The Family Feast ($131) adds onion salads and kheer for the table.

What is there besides curry?

Tandoor-roasted chicken, kheema (minced lamb with peas), samosas with chicken, lamb, or veggie filling, mango lassi, masala chai, and kheer — traditional Indian rice pudding — for dessert.

Who is behind Masala Mandala?

Founder Jilna Jasani, who spent more than fifteen years running a luxury South Asian wedding company before starting this kitchen. The curry bases, spice blends, marinades, and chutneys are all made in-house.
